Coach Julie has schooled me in the fact that I need to get used to running directly after cycling training. I know this is rookie triathlon stuff, but this blog is about the journey of an old guy trying to figure it all out. The more I do it, the less weird it feels and the more my mind can make the transition she tells me.
Today was week three of giving this a try and it finally started to feel slightly more normal than the usual feeling of two tree trunks trying to run.
54 miles along the Pacific Coast and then a 3.75 mile run in Carlsbad. Nice to get it all done by 12:30 pm.
