Running Comeback @ 65% & Rising – 8.5 Miles

Today was the best day yet on my return to running.  My legs are still weak and seem to be confused on what to do and why we are doing it.  For the past few weeks I have felt like a toddler learning how to walk.  My legs have been all over the place and any kind of acceleration requests have been denied from an engine that has little muscle development or memory of how to attain the desired push.

17.9.28 run

Physically, my left foot continues to hold up with only a little bit of strained discomfort post run.  I am making sure to take days off in-between runs and some two day rests also to not overtrain.

To celebrate, I jumped in the pool and swam a mile after the run.   Something I could not have even contemplated a year ago when I started this whole endeavor.
