Since the running has been back in the mix, I have noticed a thinning taking place. I have not weighed myself in quite a while to confirm my suspicion though. After my afternoon run today, I stepped on the scale to be pleasantly surprised by the results.

I have not seen a 7 in the second digit position on the weight scale since my second daughter was born in 1996. I admit that this weigh-in was a bit of a cheat since it was after a 4.5 mile run and definite loss of water weight from the sweat. However, it is a good sign that I am dropping pounds that I don’t need to be carrying around for the seven to eight hours I will be on the course in Austin.
After 21 years, I am happy to be shaking hands with Mr. 7 once again.
