I am now 2 1/2 months into no running or cycling thanks to what my Orthopedist calls “bone edema” on my outer Sesamoid. Since this is taking a long time to heal, she suggested I get a “bone growth stimulator” to speed up the process. This morning I started the once a day treatment.

A little goo goes onto the end of a flat/round thing with a cord sticking out of it and then it gets placed into a special socket attached to a strap around my foot. Then, you turn on the machine that sends space age signals through my foot that supposedly stimulates bone growth/calcification faster than the normal natural process.
I’m not sure what the space age signals are, but as long as they work I’m in. Once a day for 20 minutes until who knows when. Stay tuned.
